In 1995, my photography journey began with a simple yet life-changing purchase: my first camera.
That same year, I packed my bags, left the Netherlands, moved to Asia with my husband, and opened my heart to the world.
With a camera in my hand, I started to see stories in every corner of the globe.
My passion for photography was sparked, and it’s been burning brightly ever since.
After earning my professional diploma in London, I opened my first studio in the vibrant city of Shanghai in 2005.
Since then, my work has taken me across 47 countries and five continents, capturing moments that speak louder than words.
Now back in the Netherlands, I bring that global experience into everything I do, whether it’s creating images, teaching, or leading photography journeys around the world.

A Life Told Through Images
When I first moved to Singapore in 1995, I was young and eager to explore the world.
With my first (analog) camera, I began documenting the extraordinary beauty of my new surroundings.
That’s when I fell in love – not just with travel but with photography and to preserve al those beautiful moments forever.
From Singapore to Shanghai, my hobby became slowly my profession.
I studied, practiced, and refined my skills, eventually earning my diploma from the Institute for Professional Photography in London.
My first studio in Shanghai was the start of an incredible journey, which expanded back to the Netherlands in 2010 and evolved further in 2023 with the launch of my Academy.
Now, with a lifetime of stories and a portfolio filled with memories from across the world, I’m here to share my knowledge and passion with you
